ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

- Configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of voice and data network components across an enterprise WAN

- Design and implement data and voice network architecture in a secure and cost effective manner

- Work closely with voice and data communications vendors to resolve network-related connectivity issues

- Support the company's voice communications platforms

- Work with peers to complete team projects while maintaining customer service

- Planning and coordination of network changes for office moves/consolidations and new office openings

- Planning and provisioning of voice and data communications infrastructure including routers, switches, voice gateways, cabling, circuits, and wireless technologies

- Coordinate equipment and service installations with vendors, facilities managers, and IT Department

- Communicate and escalate with appropriate personnel for maintenance and outages

- Analyze information to proactively determine, recommend, and plan network enhancements to maintain efficient business operations across the Corporate network

- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation

- Manage projects, deadlines, and resources, as assigned to accomplish the functions listed above

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field

- 1 year of IT work experience in network environments performing network engineering, design, planning, implementation, administration and support

- Able to work well in a team environment

- Able to communicate well with users and vendors, as well as other members of the team and department

- Able to mentor members of the IT Service Desk, and willing to assist in a support role when necessary

- Able to manage projects and handle multiple tasks, and effectively communicate status and issues to group and department management
