Job Title : BMC SiteScope Specialist

Location : Bangalore (On-Site)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced BMC SiteScope Specialist to optimize, fine-tune, and enhance existing monitoring configurations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performance monitoring, alert tuning, and integration within enterprise IT environments. This role requires hands-on experience in BMC SiteScope administration, scripting, and monitoring strategy implementation to ensure optimal system health and proactive issue detection.

Key Responsibilities :

- Optimize and fine-tune existing BMC SiteScope configurations to improve monitoring efficiency.

- Analyse current monitoring policies and implement enhancements to reduce false positives and improve alert accuracy.

- Configure, deploy, and manage SiteScope monitors, templates, and alerting mechanisms.

- Work with IT operations and application teams to define monitoring thresholds, KPIs, and SLAs.

- Integrate BMC SiteScope with third-party tools for seamless monitoring and reporting.

- Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring configuration issues, ensuring continuous uptime.

- Develop custom scripts for enhanced monitoring capabilities (e.g., Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript).

- Provide documentation, training, and best practices for SiteScope administration.

- Assist in performance analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation for better visibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of overall enterprise observability experience

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in BMC SiteScope administration and monitoring.

- Strong expertise in monitoring optimizations, alert tuning, and event correlation.

- Experience in configuring and managing various monitor types (system, application, database, network, etc.).

- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Shell, JavaScript) for custom monitoring solutions.

- Understanding of IT infrastructure components (Windows/Linux servers, databases, network devices, cloud services, etc.).

- Experience in log analysis, event filtering, and automation within BMC SiteScope.

- Ability to troubleshoot monitoring issues and recommend performance improvement strategies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud-based monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Exposure to other monitoring tools like Dynatrace, or Splunk.

- Understanding of DevOps monitoring and automation
