Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester proficient in Python to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data validation, test automation, and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement comprehensive test plans for ETL processes, focusing on data validation, transformation, and load performance.

- Develop and execute test cases that cover all aspects of ETL processes, including data quality checks, performance metrics, and error handling.

- Collaborate with data engineers to identify data anomalies and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.

- Utilize automated testing frameworks to enhance the efficiency and coverage of ETL testing.

- Document test results and report defects, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.

- Perform data validation and verification activities to ensure accurate data processing.

- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in ETL testing and data validation.

- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

- Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases.

- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.

- Experience with test management tools like JIRA or HP ALM.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.

- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell scripting.

- Experience with performance testing and optimization of ETL processes.
