Lead Data Engineer - Python/Fivetran

Job Title : Lead Data Engineer

Experience Required : 10+ Years

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end data engineering efforts, including architecture, ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

- Architect and implement FiveTran-based ingestion pipelines and Snowflake data models.

- Create optimized Star Schemas to support analytics, self-service BI, and KPI reporting.

- Analyze and interpret existing report documentation and KPIs to guide modeling and transformation strategies.

- Design and implement efficient, scalable data workflows using SQL and Python.

- Review and enhance existing reusable data engineering templates and frameworks.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Engineers and BI Engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, modeling, performance tuning, and documentation.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

- Work closely with BI teams to enable robust reporting and dashboarding capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or technical leadership role.

- Deep expertise in FiveTran, Snowflake, and SQL development.

- Proficient in Python for data transformation and orchestration.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing, star schema design, and dimensional modeling.

- Experience in analyzing business KPIs and reports to influence data model design.

- Proven ability to mentor both Data Engineers and BI Engineers and provide architectural guidance.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
