MuleSoft Lead - Anypoint Platform

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Lead to drive integration projects and lead a team of MuleSoft developers.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, with a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying APIs and integrations in complex enterprise environments.

You will be responsible for technical leadership, architectural design, hands-on development, and ensuring best practices across integration projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of MuleSoft-based integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

- Architect scalable, secure, and reusable APIs, connectors, and integration flows.

- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements.

- Lead and mentor a team of MuleSoft developers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices.

- Define and enforce MuleSoft development standards, API design guidelines, and governance policies.

- Develop and manage API lifecycle using API Manager and apply security policies such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and TLS.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex integration issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Drive automation for deployment and testing using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.

- Stay updated with MuleSoft product enhancements and industry trends to continuously improve integration solutions.

- Prepare technical documentation including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and integration designs.

- Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth release and production support.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8-14 years of overall IT experience with significant hands-on experience in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform development.

- Strong expertise in Mule 3.x and Mule 4.x runtime and related components (Mule flows, connectors, transformers, etc.

- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.

- Proficient with API-led connectivity and Microservices architecture.

- In-depth knowledge of data formats (JSON, XML), transformations (DataWeave), and messaging protocols (HTTP, JMS, FTP, MQ).

- Familiarity with API management tools such as API Manager, Exchange, and Anypoint Studio.

- Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and other API security mechanisms.

- Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging queues, and event-driven architecture.

- Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Proficient in CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.

- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

- MuleSoft Certified Developer and Architect certifications.

- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of other integration platforms/tools is a plus.
