Job Summary :


We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Perl Script & Batch DOS Command Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in writing and maintaining Perl scripts and Windows batch (CMD/DOS) scripts to support data automation, system integrations, file processing, and task scheduling.


Key Responsibilities :


- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Perl and Windows Batch (.bat/.cmd).

- Build workflows for scheduled tasks, file transfers, logging, and error handling.

- Create scripts for data parsing, validation, and transformation.

- Support legacy systems that rely on command-line utilities and batch processes.

- Integrate with third-party systems and APIs as required using scripting logic.

- Optimize and troubleshoot script performance and reliability issues.

- Maintain version control and documentation for all scripts developed.

- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and operations teams to support deployment pipelines.


Required Skills :


- Strong experience with Perl scripting for file handling, regular expressions, and text processing.

- Proficiency in writing and debugging Windows Batch/DOS commands.

- Solid understanding of Windows command-line environment, command chaining, and scripting logic.

- Familiarity with file system operations, log management, and automation tasks.

- Experience with scheduling tools such as Windows Task Scheduler or Control-M.

- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a production environment.


Preferred Skills :


- Knowledge of PowerShell, Shell scripting (Bash), or Python is a plus.

- Experience with FTP/SFTP automation, email triggers, or data archiving scripts.

- Familiarity with version control tools (Git/SVN).

- Understanding of legacy applications or print processing workflows is an advantage.


Educational Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
