Levels : JL3/4 (25 Years) & JL5 (510 Years)

Locations : Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune

Qualification : Full-time BE/B.Tech or MCA

Role Summary :

We are seeking talented and passionate Progress 4GL / OpenEdge Developers across experience levels (2 to 10 years) to join our dynamic development teams. The roles involve end-to-end application development using Progress OpenEdge 10.x/11.x/12.x, with opportunities to work on complex systems, performance tuning, and modern enterprise integrations.

Roles and Responsibilities :

For JL3/4 (25 Years Experience) :

- Participate in full-cycle application development using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge

- Work on designing, developing, debugging, and testing modules

- Handle basic database schema design and performance tuning

- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and enhance system performance

- Use Progress tools like debugger and work with web services and ADM

For JL5 (510 Years Experience) :

- Lead and design complex applications using Progress OpenEdge

- Prepare technical design documentation and conduct code reviews

- Optimize performance using Progress tools like Promon, Profiler, Debugger

- Mentor junior team members and take ownership of key deliverables

- Work with tools like CDC, Pro2, Eclipse/PDSOE, and XML parsing

- Manage Agile development lifecycle with DevOps integration

Mandatory Skills :

- Progress 4GL/OpenEdge (10.x, 11.x, 12.x)

- Strong understanding of Progress Database concepts indexing, triggers, schema, tuning

- Hands-on experience with application performance optimization

- Knowledge of ADM, AppServers, and Webservices

- Familiarity with tools like Debugger, Promon, Profiler

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Additional Requirements for JL5 :

- Technical design ownership and documentation

- Team handling & mentoring experience

- Familiarity with tools and practices like :

1. Eclipse/PDSOE

2. XML parsing

3. Continuous Integration (CI) : Jenkins, Jira, Confluence

4. Testing : ABLUnit, SonarQube

5. Agile/DevOps environments

Nice to Have (Optional Skills) :

- Experience in the US Life Insurance domain

- Experience in VPAS application development

Note : Candidates with exclusive QAD development experience are not preferred for JL5 roles.
