Quality Assurance Engineer - API Testing

Key Responsibilities :

- Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation test frameworks primarily using Robot Framework.

- Test Case Design: Develop comprehensive and efficient automated test cases for both UI and API layers, ensuring maximum test coverage.

- UI Automation: Implement and execute UI automation scripts using tools like Selenium or Playwright for web applications.

- API Testing: Perform thorough API testing using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or Karate, validating functionality, performance, and security of APIs.

- Scripting & Programming: Write and maintain automation scripts using Python programming language.

- Methodology Adherence: Apply strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) throughout the testing lifecycle.

- Version Control: Utilize Git for version control of test scripts and collaborate effectively with development teams.

- Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and retest software defects, ensuring timely resolution and high quality.

- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for test process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of automation strategies.

- Collaboration: Work closely with development, product, and other QA team members to ensure alignment and timely delivery of high-quality software.

Required Qualifications :

- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in software testing, with a significant focus on automation.

- Robot Framework: Mandatory proficiency in Python programming and extensive experience with the Robot Framework.

- UI Automation: Hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium or Playwright.

- API Testing: Proven experience in API testing using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.

- Methodologies: Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.

- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
