Quality Assurance Engineer - API Testing

Job Title : QA Engineer API & SQL

Experience : 6 to 8 Years

Location : Chennai

Shift Timings : Rotational. 08:30 AM 05:30 PM. 11:30 AM 08:30 PM. 02:00 PM 11:00 PM.

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute API test cases using tools like Postman or similar.

- Perform comprehensive SQL-based backend data validation.

- Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Document and report bugs, and follow up until resolution.

- Identify, record, and track bugs using standard bug tracking tools.

- Contribute to test planning, test execution, and test reporting processes.

Required Skills :

- 6- 8 years of experience in Manual/Functional Testing with a strong focus on API and database testing.

- Proficiency in REST API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).

- Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and verification.

- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.

- Excellent communication and analytical skills.

- Experience in automation is a plus.

- Candidates should be open to work in rotational shifts.

- Work Location: Chennai.

- Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days.
