SAP ABAP Developer

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong experience in ODATA, Business Events, Business Objects, RAP/CAP, and Core/HANA ABAP.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions in an S/4HANA environment for a leading client in the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop high-quality custom ABAP solutions utilizing both Core ABAP and HANA ABAP capabilities within an S/4HANA environment.

- Implement and maintain robust and efficient services using OData, the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), and/or the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

- Design and implement solutions leveraging Business Events and Business Objects to facilitate seamless system integration and enable event-driven architectural patterns.

- Collaborate closely with functional teams to effectively gather business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical designs and solutions.

- Conduct thorough code reviews, perform rigorous debugging, and execute comprehensive unit testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality and robust software.

- Provide support for integration efforts with SAP Fiori/UI5 user interfaces and other relevant SAP modules as required by project needs.

Required Skills :

- Possess 7- 8 years of demonstrable experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Exhibit hands-on expertise in the following key areas :

1. OData service development and consumption.

2. Implementation and utilization of SAP Business Events and Business Objects.

3. Development using the Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and/or the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

- Proficient in both Core ABAP development principles and leveraging HANA-specific ABAP features for performance optimization.

- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

- Possess a good understanding of overall SAP architecture, its various components, and common integration patterns between SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and functional team members.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working on projects within the beverage industry.

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 development concepts.

- Knowledge of SAP Workflow and Business Rules Framework plus (BRF+).

- Experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).

- Understanding of SAP Solution Manager and its usage in development projects
