Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP Data Engineer with deep expertise in SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud) and its seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. A strong focus on data replication and virtualization strategies is critical for this role. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on the optimal use of data virtualization versus replication techniques to enhance data efficiency and agility across our SAP landscape. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts to support our Enterprise Analytics platform, playing a key role in delivering critical daily insights into financial, sales, and operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities :

- Data Flow Management : Oversee and optimize data flows within the SAP ecosystem and integrated external systems, ensuring efficient and reliable data delivery for real-time reporting and seamless cloud data integration.

- SAP Datasphere Management : Lead the management and administration of our SAP Datasphere environment, including the configuration and optimization of Spaces, Connections, Data Builder, Business Builder, and Analytic Models.

- Data Replication and Virtualization Strategy : Strategically manage data replication and virtualization within SAP Datasphere, in close coordination with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), to maximize reporting efficiency, minimize data redundancy, and ensure data consistency.

- System Integration : Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines integrating SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (leveraging ABAP CDS views), Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and other relevant data sources and target systems.

- ETL/ELT Development and Maintenance : Develop, implement, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to ensure accurate and timely data migration, data quality, robust data governance, and adherence to compliance standards.

- Data Modeling and Optimization : Design and optimize scalable data models within SAP Datasphere, supporting both batch and streaming data, as well as structured and unstructured datasets, to meet diverse analytical requirements.

- SAP SAC Integration and Dashboarding : Implement SAP SAC live connections to SAP Datasphere, create interactive and performant dashboards and visualizations, and optimize query performance for large-scale data analytics.

- Enterprise Analytics Support : Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to understand their data requirements and provide the necessary data foundation and support for the Enterprise Analytics platform, enabling the delivery of critical daily business insights.

- Analytics Tool Proficiency : Demonstrate proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other reporting tools such as Power BI and Analysis for Office, understanding their connectivity and optimization with SAP Datasphere.

- AI/ML Integration Collaboration : Collaborate with data scientists to facilitate the integration of AI/ML models and predictive analytics outputs into business intelligence workflows within the SAP ecosystem.

- Data Governance and Security : Ensure data security, data governance, and data observability are implemented and maintained in compliance with enterprise data policies and relevant regulations within the SAP data landscape.

- Advanced Data Engineering : Utilize programming languages such as Python and Java, along with big data processing frameworks like Spark, and strong SQL skills for advanced data transformation, complex data replication scenarios, and custom data integration development.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on SAP technologies.

- Deep and demonstrable expertise in SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud).

- Significant experience in integrating SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including leveraging ABAP CDS views.

- Strong understanding and practical experience with data replication and virtualization techniques within the SAP ecosystem.

- Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes.

- Experience in designing and optimizing data models for analytical purposes.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including live connections and dashboard development.

- Familiarity with other reporting tools like Power BI and Analysis for Office.

- Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation within SAP and other databases.

- Experience with programming languages such as Python and/or Java for data engineering tasks.

- Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Spark is a plus.

- Understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and data observability concepts.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
