About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP QM, with a strong focus on implementations and support within either process industries or discrete manufacturing environments. This role is critical for ensuring the effective design, configuration, and integration of SAP QM processes to uphold and enhance product quality throughout the organization's operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, customize, and provide ongoing functional support for SAP Quality Management (QM) module functionalities.

- Analyze complex business processes related to quality management, identify gaps, and propose best-practice SAP solutions.

- Design and implement comprehensive quality planning processes, including master inspection characteristics, inspection methods, inspection plans, and quality levels.

- Configure and manage quality inspection processes, including results recording, defect recording, and usage decisions.

- Implement and support quality control functionalities, such as statistical process control (SPC) and quality certificates.

- Manage quality notifications (e.g., customer complaints, internal problems, vendor non-conformances) and their associated workflows.

- Ensure seamless integration of SAP QM processes with other core SAP modules, particularly SAP Production Planning (PP) for in-process and final inspections, and SAP Materials Management (MM) for goods receipt inspections and quality in procurement.

- Support integration points with other relevant modules like Sales and Distribution (SD) for customer quality and Plant Maintenance (PM) for equipment calibration.

- Develop and execute detailed test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for QM functionalities.

- Provide user training and create comprehensive functional documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and training manuals.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues within the SAP QM module, providing timely and effective solutions.

- Collaborate closely with business users, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum 5+ years of hands-on functional experience in SAP Quality Management (QM).

- Proven experience in process industries or discrete manufacturing environments.

- Strong knowledge of integration points with SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP Materials Management (MM).

- Deep understanding of QM master data (e.g., Quality Info Record, Master Inspection Characteristics, Inspection Plans).

- Expertise in QM processes : Quality Planning, Quality Inspection, Quality Control, and Quality Notifications.

- Experience in conducting business requirement analysis, solution design, and system configuration.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- SAP certification in Quality Management (QM) is a significant plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
