Job Title : Senior Solution Architect Database Technology

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Design :

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and secure database solutions.

- Provide expert recommendations on the selection and integration of database technologies including relational, NoSQL, and cloud-native platforms.

- Develop detailed system architecture blueprints, including data models, schemas, and integration flows.

- Ensure architectural solutions align with business use cases and performance objectives.

Client Consultation & Collaboration :

- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical database solutions.

- Support pre-sales activities by delivering technical presentations, estimations, and scoping documentation.

- Advise clients on best practices for database management, performance optimization, and scalability.

Technology Leadership :

- Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging database technologies and trends.

- Guide junior architects and developers in applying best practices across database implementations.

- Oversee performance optimization and ensure database systems meet defined SLAs.

Project & Vendor Management :

- Ensure successful end-to-end implementation of database solutions across multiple projects.

- Manage third-party database vendors and tool integrations effectively.

- Contribute to the project roadmap, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and architectural goals.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.

- Implement data protection strategies including encryption, backups, and disaster recovery.

- Conduct regular security and performance audits for all database systems.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with relational databases : Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

- Experience with NoSQL databases : MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB.

- Proficiency with cloud-based database services : AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL.

- Expertise in designing and scaling transactional and analytical database workloads.

- Familiarity with ETL, data warehousing, and integration tools.

Architecture & Tools :

- Proven track record in designing large-scale database architectures.

- Skilled in schema design, data modeling, and performance tuning.

- Experience with cloud-native and distributed database systems.

- Hands-on with database automation and CI/CD tools like Liquibase, Flyway.

- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and database monitoring tools.

Leadership & Communication :

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities within cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize deliverables effectively.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- Oracle Certified Architect or similar.

- AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect certifications.
